PACKET DROPPING ATTACKS IN MANET: A SURVEY
Due to the numerous applications areas of mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) such as military and war communications, disaster recovery, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) etc. These wireless networks became targets of different types of attacks caused by various methods used by the attackers. Furthermore, the multi-hop communication in MANETs requires intermediate nodes to perform data communication between a source- destination pair. This provides a chance to the attackers to either steel the identity of the legitimate intermediate node or directly become part of the discovered route that will be used for data communication. In this way, MANETs are very vulnerable to various kinds of attacks. Also, a large number of applications over MANETs are increasing exponentially during recent years because of the advancements in the hardware design of hand-held devices and deployment mechanisms of wireless networks. This growing popularity of MANETs is one of the reasons due to which the number of attacks is increasing in these networks. At present many researchers working on the field of MANETs are working towards the analysis of various attacks that are injected in MANETs and also try to develop solution to either detect or prevent these attacks. In this paper, we present a detailed survey on various types of packet dropping attacks that are proposed in the recent years by various researchers working on the areas of attacks over MANETs with their detection methods (if given and available in the literature).
A Multicasting Routing Protocol E-ODMRP
ODMRP is a multicasting routing protocol design for ad-hoc network .this protocol is based on the mesh structure and used the concept of forwarding group .it can dynamically build the routes to maintain the multicasting between different group or in different nodes .ODMRP is used in ad-hoc because it is wireless network ,bandwidth is limited and topology changes frequently, a multicasting routing is challenge under the node or host mobility and limited bandwidth .in this paper the EODMRP is a multicasting routing protocol retain all the property of ODMRP. The main aim of this paper is to designed a secured multicast network ,which ill be safeguarded against all the mis activity of routing ,data modification, attack like flooding attack and black hole attack.
A New Method for Image Steganography With Enhanced Confidentiality
Steganography is the art of hiding information within other information in such a way that it is hard or even impossible to identify that it is there. As the demand of more secure yet efficient image steganography techniques has increased, there are many different steganography and encoding techniques have been proposed. The aim of this paper is to propose a new approach for the steganography with improved confidentiality. In this manuscript we are also presenting a new table for encoding the characters.
Techniques of Streaming Stored Multimedia
Inline to the growing demand for information on the web, streaming of data has gained much importance across tracks; however at the same time so has evolved the methods towards plagiarizing the content sent across using complicated techniques. This article talks about the ideas towards how one could protect the streamed across stored media from being stolen yet leverage the potential of entertainment that it could generate to the best extent possible.
